Secondary and Undergraduate instructor of theater, Shakespeare and stage combat. Theater is a profound tool to teach a variety of skills - empathy, collaboration, communication, and physical and vocal presentation. Theater helps develop these skills that impact every career and industry.
Violence Choreography
Certified Teacher with the Society of American Fight Directors. Acts of stage violence epitomize dramatic conflict. The opposition and conflict within the act of presenting violence safely, literally making the unsafe safe, is a profound dramatic act. One that is often dismissed or neglected in performance.
Shakespeare Performance
Practitioner and sometime-scholar of Shakespeare performance. Interests include alternative Shakespeare performance, Shakespeare in schools, and Shakespeare's stage violence.
Adam holds a MFA in Staging Shakespeare from the University of Exeter, a BFA in Acting from the University of Michigan, and is Certified Teacher with the Society of American Fight Directors.
He currently lives in Austin, Texas.
